I'm planning to jump on this thing the second it arrives and just want to make a wise purchase. Use will be limited once I'm riding but who knows. I would prefer to have rollers so I could use them to warm up at cx races but a trainer's fine too. I can only bend my knee about 90 degrees but my physio says I've got to hoof it and do everything I can to work my knee so I want to get a trainer probably this weekend. So I want to pull the trigger on my first trainer. Raised the saddle on a spinning bike at the gym sky high today and was able to just barely complete a revolution of the pedals but I could pedal over and over. The unit itself is hard wearing and very durable with setup a breeze. This trainer is a great package if you want to improve your cycling especially if the weather is bad outside or you don't have the available time. As regards the tyre wear, Elite would recommend that you use a trainer tyre instead of a normal road tyre as it has been designed to last longer and give better grip, helping to reduce slippage. This material reduces noise and tyre wear, which is great if you use the trainer within the home. The 'Elastogel' term is simply the technology used on the resistance roller.
This trainer is also compatible with four third party software platforms to help and make your training session much more fun and realistic. You simply raise the bike clamping part (Crono design), place your rear wheel axle into the clamping handle and once secure push your bike back onto the resistance roller and then you are ready to train.
Setting your bike upon the trainer is very straight forward.
The frame of the trainer is simple in it's design and can be packed flat for easy transportation.
